Tempest Speed Controllers are designed to work in perfect harmony with Tempest Brushless motors, providing reliable operation with a smooth linear throttle response. These speed controllers will also work extremely well with virtually every other brand of brushless motor. These new ESC’s feature an STM 32-Bit Micro-Controller Unit (MCU), an integrated 3-phase gate driver and high-quality MOSFET Power Transistors.
All Tempest Speed Controllers come with built-in BEC circuits to provide power to the radio receiver and servos in your model. The smallest 6-Amp model has a Linear BEC providing 5.0 volts at up to 1.5 amps. The rest of the Tempest Speed Controllers, from the 15-Amp 4-Cell up through the 120-Amp 8-Cell model, all have Switching BEC Circuits providing 5.5 volts, with outputs ranging from 2 amps to 8 amps, depending on the model.
